Input Equity

Separate from outcome attribution, engage.re tracks what each participant contributes to an initiative — enabling fair recognition and equity distribution.

Two Different Questions

Outcome Attribution

"Who helped produce this change in the world?"

Tracked via contribution stories. Flows up hierarchies. Compares strategies.

Input Equity

"What has each member put in?"

Tracked via contribution ledger. Internal to initiatives. Enables fair distribution.

The internal engine of fairness.

How Equity Is Calculated

User Slices = Σ (value × multiplier)
Equity Share = User Slices ÷ Total Slices

Live Example

Contributor Type Value Multiplier Slices
Alice Time 40 hours 40
Bob Money £500 1000
Carol Knowledge Key design 1.5× 150
Dave Connections 3 referrals 1.5× 45
Total Pool 1235

Bob's equity share = 1000 ÷ 1235 = 81%
Alice's equity share = 40 ÷ 1235 = 3.2%

How Contributions Are Recorded

Provenance How Recorded
System Tracked Automatic from task completion, payments, etc.
Peer Assessed Other team members rate contributions
Self-Declared Contributor logs their own input
